Gregory was FABULOUS, band great, but wayyy too loud.
The PEOPLE at the show were all so nice, interesting and FUN! Gregory Porter is a wonderful singer and storyteller. The drummer was phenomenal. My ONE complaint, and it's a big one, is that the instrumentation was way too loud, overpowering Mr. Porter's voice. That was disappointing, because essentially that's what I was there for - to hear Gregory Porter. My favorite of the night was Like Water Under Bridges - - and one of the reasons was because it was only Gregory and the piano player - just PERFECT! I wished there was a little more of that.
